The purpose of this survey was to determine the horizontal location and depth to a power line, which was somewhere underneath the sidewalk.

The CART survey of 2500 feet two passes wide (30,000 sq-ft) was finished in a day. The results revealed the exact locations of the powerlines under the sitewalk making test pits unnecessary.
